NPP Ratings – Craig Overton of Somerset is the player of the week

21 games were played during the first week of Royal London ODI Cup. Durham and Somerset top the North and South groups respectively. Six teams are yet to lose a game and three teams will look forward for the coming week to register their first wins.

We looked at the performances over 21 games, a total of 211 players were evaluated for 462 performances (21 games * 2 innings * 11 players) to rate the performances with both bat and ball.

The weekly rankings will be published over the course of Royal London ODI Cup.

Quick notes on the ratings:
The rating will take into consideration the performance of an individual player in comparison with the performances of all the players from that particular match. The normalized score for each individual player will be generated based on runs scored and strike rate for batting performances; wickets taken and economy for bowling. The normalized performances of individuals will be aggregated at a weekly level.
